City rules in a growing small city
Owens Cross Roads has its own city government, so its own zoning and permit rules apply inside city limits. We could not confirm whether the city requires a fence permit; call City Hall on US 431 before work starts. Addresses that share the 35763 ZIP code may instead be in Huntsville (which does not require fence permits) or unincorporated Madison County. Confirm which applies to your parcel.

Typical fence work
Owens Cross Roads relied on cotton farming for much of its history, and larger lots and pasture remain alongside newer homes. Requests here range from backyard privacy fences to farm fence and drive gates on acreage. Next door, Hampton Cove's master-planned neighborhoods have their own covenants; see Hampton Cove.
Getting quotes
Send a request through the contact page with your road, fence type and footage. We pass it to an independent fence contractor who works the Big Cove and Flint River valley area. Alabama 811 needs notice at least two full working days before any digging.
